My 50th

We had a great time on saturday, starting at 6:30am we headed off to Vineyard (Sydney) for paintball, where we spent the day hurting each other (that was lots of fun), followed by the party last night. Nelly's car did a water pump in Sydney, and we had to leave it there, thanks to Billy Hewitt and Nathan Webster we all got home ok, even if it was 2 hours late for my party (I do like to make an entrance). It was so great to catch up with people I hadn't seen in a long time, or even a short time.

The dartboard was doing overtime in the shed with all the dart players that came, and it didn't take long before everyone was getting along like old buddies, even the one that'd never met before. We had a very short cake/song/speech session before it was back to the party, which by the way ended at 4am when all that was left was Perry Ferguson, Nelly and I playing Euchre (with Perry and Nelly in fine vociferous form announcing their Euchre merits to everyone within 200 metres LOL).

The breakfast and clean up this morning was pretty good, most of our guests were tidy people and it only took about 20 minutes to pick up the odd empty here and there in the back yard / shed / house.

I'd like to say that we were all fighting fit today, but that wouldn't be accurate. Paintball and/or alcohol had taken a toll on everyone I saw this morning, Steve McDonald won the "I have the most/biggest/worst paintball bruises" competition (an he raced in Temora today!?!), and it was a draw for the worst hangover by quite a few that I saw.

Thanks to everyone that came, particularly to my Nelly who did a great job of organising the event and her sisters who helped make everything very, very special. My niece Adelaide travelled from the North Coast of NSW, and Jay and Billy Hewitt (and Max and Sally) from the south coast.

There were a few noticeable absences, my brother Max couldn't make it because Maree's mum passed away this week, my sister Glynis couldn't get here either (was it a nail appointment? I can't remember what u said LOL), Dean Rutledge was unable to get out of a commitment at Kempsey, and for some it was a long way to come or we somehow overlooked you (for that I am sorry).

One thing I can definately say is that everyone that was there really means a lot to me, and next time I go paintballing you are all invited (I love hurting friends, in a physical way at least).
