As I mentioned I like four wheel driving, and here's my Toy[ota] Hilux. It's a fairly standard 1982 tray back ute, with around 8" of lift, detroit locker diff, new bullbar (the one in the picture is now bent) and winch, 12½x33x15 Maxxis Bighorn tyres, and of course some recovery and survival gear.
Around where I live there are heaps of places to test out the ability of 4x4s, and so far I've only got stuck once. The Bighorn tyres make a big difference, they don't fill up when it's muddy, and have heaps of gripping ability in all loose surfaces.
The track in the picture is the Bridle Track, from Hill End to Bathurst. It's a nice drive with camping and fishing spots (don't forget your license), and has a few spots to test out the 4WDs running off it. Some of it isn't for the weak hearted, but most vehicles (even my company car) can pass through it ok. It's definately NOT for sports cars though.
