What will the legacy of the ALP be Post Gillard?

Image
This is by no means an extensive list, if you have anything to add, please add a comment and I'll add it to the list. Never before seen Federal Government debt following horrific consecutive Federal Budget Deficits unprecedented in Australian History. Ongoing costs of failed policies resulting in a never before seen influx of illegal immigrants, and the overloading of welfare and justice systems. Record unemployment as businesses struggle to recover from a government hell-bent on taxation, almost none of the members of which have ever owned a private business . Lower housing and property values as a result of the unemployment and uncertainty. Ghettos rising in major cities as the illegal immigrants settle, and bring their families to Australia. Social inequality similar to what is occurring in Britain and areas of Europe where migration has seen countries lose their identity, and become hotbeds of violence and discrimination against the hosts. Maybe even the gaoling of p...

Global Warming / Climate Change - The New Religion

Image
Firstly, let me apologise to my friends who are environmentalists. I'm not trying to offend you, just wanna get this off my chest. Environmentalists get really upset with me when I say that Climate Change (a.k.a. Global Warming) is a religion, complete with: selling indulgences and tithing (Carbon Credits and taxes); Prophets (scientists, politicians, media executives and just plain old devotees) who lambaste the nay-sayers and critics; sermons (usually lavishly catered gatherings by invitation only so that there are no nay-sayers there, and paid for by the uninvited masses); Bibles ("An Inconvenient Truth", UN Agenda 21, blogs, websites, not to mention Government, UN, and NGO handbooks); the religious fervor that believers exhibit when their worldview comes into question; Miracles are a little different, they aren't 'good things' they're the 'bad signs' that affirm their belief i.e. Hurricane (actually it was a storm) Sandy, Katrina, etc,...

Denying Foreign Debt

Image
Can/Will the Australian Labor Party break our 'strong' economy? It seems to me, they're trying to do exactly that. Greece, Italy, Spain, USA, are all teetering on the brink of financial ruin, and our government continues to rack up overseas debt with gay abandon. Banks, insurance companies, and the Tax department account for 50%+ of our personal and small business liabilities. Here are two posts that are worth reading, showing that it is possible to deny debt from overseas sources, and avoid bringing down our economy. As a sovereign nation, we really should be limiting the amount of foreign 'investment' (read that as debt). Control of our economy by foreigners is an inevitability at the current rate, 65% of current government 'borrowings' are from overseas, that is AU$65M per day . The Australian Constitution is the foundational document that underlies everything our government and politicians can or cannot do. Perhaps it's time for an amendment for...

Solar Activity and Technology

Image
Reliance on Technology I must confess, I'm a geek. I love technology, and have at different times managed large networks of computers, and even now have an iPhone, iPad, Mac 27", Window 7 in the shed, Macbook Pro in the ute, and internet via wifi in my home and even in my utility truck. I have a large collection of movies (mostly documentaries) I've yet to watch collected on several of my devices, many of which relate to technology and prophecy. I haven't bothered to back them up, my thinking is that I have them in the house and in the car, if one breaks, I still have another copy. Then I read this article:  Solar storm of 1859 " Telegraph systems all over Europe and North America failed, in some cases shocking telegraph operators. Telegraph pylons threw sparks and telegraph paper spontaneously caught fire. Some telegraph systems continued to send and receive messages despite having been disconnected from their power supplies... " Source: http:...

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

(Video at foot of page) The Good Mel Leckie is a disabled young woman from South Australia. She is passionate about issues and discrimination affecting disabled people. I've had a look at her website , where she lists some of her work toward overcoming issues affecting her and all disabled people in Australia. Mel spoke from the audience during a speech by Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillards address on proposed improvements for disabled people in Australia (about the 3/12/2012). You can hear what Mel had to say in the video at the bottom of this entry. The Bad The day following, Piers Akerman had this to say on his blog: "I have just been informed, by a reliable source, that heckler at Gillards press conference, was in fact not a heckler, but an ALP plant. She is Mel Leckie from Adelaide , she has been a huge supporter of the Greens and Labor for ages! She was allowed to pretend to heckle Gillard so then Gillard would be able to again pretend to listen to her pl...

125 Climate Scientist URGE U.N.

OPEN CLIMATE LETTER TO UN SECRETARY-GENERAL: Current scientific knowledge does not substantiate Ban Ki-Moon assertions on weather and climate, say 125-plus scientists. "The U.K. Met Office recently released data showing that there has been no statistically significant global warming for almost 16 years. During this period, according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations rose by nearly 9% to now constitute 0.039% of the atmosphere. Global warming that has not occurred cannot have caused the extreme weather of the past few years. Whether, when and how atmospheric warming will resume is unknown. The science is unclear. Some scientists point out that near-term natural cooling, linked to variations in solar output, is also a distinct possibility." "The incidence and severity of extreme weather has not increased. There is little evidence that dangerous weather-related events will occur more often in the futu...
